Autonomy Controls
You decide how much SteadyNines does on its own
The head of operations sets an autonomy level for each type of situation. Nothing runs on its own unless you’ve chosen that, and every action is recorded.
Ask · what on-call sees
“Ready to roll back deploy #4821. Approve?”
Three levels.
| Level | What SteadyNines does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Propose | Suggests the action and evidence; your team acts | New situation types, critical services |
| Ask | Prepares the action and waits for one-tap approval | Most production situations |
| Run and report | Acts at once, then reports what it did | Repeated situations with a proven fix |
Autonomy is earned.
Every situation type starts at Propose or Ask. Approval history shows which ones are ready for more. Levels can be scoped by situation type, and by service, environment and time of day.
Prepares the action and waits for one-tap approval.
